Our 77th Annual Christmas Basket Distribution will be held December 17th, 2011 at 9:00 AM. We are pleased this year to also be dedicating a new building for housing our food pantry and thrift store on the same day.
Since 1934, we have been holding an annual Chrsitmas Dinner for the community. Again this year, for the 77th time, we will be opening our doors to the needy of the community with turkey, dressing, and all the fixin's. Dinner will begin immediately following the morning services.
Our thrift store is officially opening to the public, December 17, 2011 at 10 AM. We will have gently used merchandise (and some still in the box) for sale at yard store prices. To see some of the items we will have for sale the 17th, visit our event page on facebook. /while you're there tell us if you will be attending or not. God Bless You!
At 4:00 PM we will begin the dedication service to dedicate the building in the honor of Mary and Willard Carney, and the Carney family. We are expecting a wonderful day of praise. Hope to see you there.
December 19th, at 6:30 PM, we will be gifting toys to area children at our annual Toy Gifting. As always we will be receiving toys from the Marine's Toys for Tots program.
However, this year, we also have an added bonus of toys. Jim Justice and the Greenbrier are donating $1 Million Dollars worth of toys to local charities, or which we are one. We will be picking up our toys from them December 14th.
It looks to be a very Merry Christmas for many this year! God Bless all those who donate their time and treasure to this event! To God be the Glory!
